Jackie Conner of Chisholm participates as a volunteer at
Rendevous events. “My persona is metis seamstress. Everyone in my family has been
a seamstress for generations back.” She demonstrates her craft at Rendevous events
along with many others from the area. The average age of Rendevous participants
is 53. (photo originally published in the October-November 2016 issue of The Senior
Reporter). The lower photo pictures seniors helping make sarmas as a fund raiser for
the Hibbing Tourist Center Senior Citizens group. The senior center and gift shop is
located at 1202 East Howard Street in Hibbing. Seniors from the group volunteer at
the Hibbing Mine View three days a week during the tourist season. From right to
